Chairman
Chairman is the only stallion in the UK with such a close-up cross of
the two very best Holsteiner performance bloodlines Cor de la Bryere
and Lord and, as such, he is an outstanding prospect as a sire of all
types of sportshorse, particularly showjumpers from a wide range of mares.
It should be noted that his athletic paces and, in particular, his elevated
trot are being notice by prominent dressage professionals who are choosing
him to sire their dressage horses of the future. He is a really beautiful
Holstein Stallion with an outstanding temperament.
Performance
- Chairman successfully completed the performance
test at Medingen in 1988 and went on to compete in Germany as a showjumper
at S level 1.50m from 1994, winning in good company during the following
three years and showing an exceptional technique over a fence.
- Chairman has a very high BLUP (breeding) index for showjumping
of 142, giving him the top ranking as a showjumping sire
of all stallions graded in Hessen in 1999.
- He has combined his competition career very successfully with stud
work and his progeny are already proving very successful.
- Chairman arrived from Germany already approved by the Holsteiner
Verband, Oldenburg, Hessen, Bavarian, Rheinland-Phalz-Saar, Wurttemburg,
Thuringen & Sachsen Studbooks. He was Fully Approved and Graded by
the Anglo European Studbook February 1998 and the American Warmblood
Registry Spring 1998.
- CHAIRMAN SELECTED TO GO TO THE EUROPEAN STALLION CHAMPIONSHIPS AT
ZWOLLE IN JANUARY 1999 AND TO COMPETE IN THE INTERNATIONAL CLASSES
IN SPAIN IN FEBRUARY 1999.
- Chaiman flew the flag for Great Britain when he finished Equal
3rd in the Best Promising Stallion Championship at the International
Stallion Championships in Zwolle, ridden by William Funnell
(Horse &Hound International News, 28/1/99) - beating such notable
stallions as Kigali, ridden by Albert Zoer, and Nissan King
Z, ridden by Jos Lansink.
- 3rd in the Grand Prix at the AES
Open National Stallion Jumping Show - Jan '99.
- Won big International class on the Sunshine Tour
1999, beating top opposition such as Do IT (Nick Skilton), Temple
What A Flash (John Renwick), Sachmow (Andrew
Davies) and Uptons LB (Mennell Watson) - see Horse & Hound
International News 8/4/99 - also placed four times in other top class
competitions on the tour.

- In the BHD rankings published in January 2000, Chairman was 6th in
the the Top 10 Living Stallions available by AI by Own Winnings

Breeding Profile
- COR DE LA BRYERE by Rantzau XX is
one of the most important stallions in modern showjumping. He is the
sire of 83 graded stallions including Calando 1 (sire
of the international showjumping stallion Careful)
and his full brother Calando 11, Caletto (sire of
the international showjumper Visa Calvaro Z), Calvados
1 (sire of the international showjumper Calvados Orion and
the international dressage stallion Chagall), the
five full brothers Calypso I to V, Carneval (sire
of the international showjumper Panasonic Video), Come
Back II (grading champion of Germany and Denmark) and Corland (grading
champion of Germany and Denmark and now an international showjumper).
In the competition arena, the progeny of Cor de la Bryere have won
nearly £1.5 million in prize money in Germany alone. The international
showjumpers sired by Cor de la Bryere include San Patrigiano
Corrode, Beckman's Cordalme, Cora 001, Bollvorm's Chablis and Global
Concorde. He is also the sire of the international dressage
horse Corlandus. He is currently ranked 15th in the World Breeding
Federation for Sports Horses list of sires of international showjumpers
and has many graded stallion sons throughout the world.
- LORD by Ladykiller XX has a dressage
BLUP of 135 and a showjumping BLUP of 189 and is, therefore, an outstanding
source of showjumping and dressage talent in the Holstein breed. He
produced 78 graded sons and progeny winnings total over £1.5 million
to date, and he has a ranking of 3rd in the world as a sire of dressage
horses and 11th in the world as a sire of showjumpers in the WBFSH
lists. His graded sons include the international dressage horses Leonardo
II (sire of Stubbings Court Licardo), Lucky
Lord and Fashion, as well as the top showjumping
sires Lord lncipit, Lord Calando and Losander. He also has almost 20
offspring currently jumping at top international level, where his best
known current representatives are Lugania II, Top
Speed and Lordon.
- LADYKILLER XX sired 41 graded sons such as Landgraf
I (3rd ranked showjumping sire in the WBFSH lists and sire
of Libero H), Liostro and Lorenz,
as well as the dressage stallions Latino and Leander.
His progeny (many of whom competed at a time when prize money was
much lower than it is today) have won nearly £800,000 to date.
- IRA 3 has the same breeding through Lord and Atoll as
top international showjumper Livius - Atoll was by Atlas who
was a son of Anblick XX (see Ulster ).

- Competition horses with good winnings to date competing under saddle,
of particular note in Germany are Capello and Sellino who
both won over 1,000 DM in 1996
- In Germany young stock by Chairman is being purchased by such top
riders as Helena Weinburg and auction horses fetching prices up to
£40,000.
- First UK colt sold to the USA in March 2000
- COSTA RICA was third in the 2 year old class for Competition Horse
Breeding at the Royal Bath and West Show 2004.
- CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL, a 5 year old mare entered her first competition
in June 2004 and 5th with 2 double clears - after only 10 days training!
